In this role you will be performing various maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment with a local manufacturing facility in Lafayette, IN. Job Status- Direct Hire
Salary- $20-22/hr
Hours- 7am-3:30pm, M-F
Job Duties Include:
1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and resolve any issues.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking fluid levels.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repairs.
4. Repair or replace defective parts, such as motors, belts, gears, and electrical components.
5. Install new machinery and equipment.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and repairs needed.
7. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards.
Successful candidates will have:
1. Basic problem solving/trouble-shooting- equipment is older and does not come with a repair manual.
2. Previous Mechanical Maintenance experience (at least one year)
3. Intermediate mechanical skills.
4. Self-motivation
5. The ability to read prints, tape measure, ruler and protractor
6. The ability to operate basic hand tools (must possess own basic hand tools)
7. The ability to stand for long periods of time.
8. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
